What’s It Like to Stay at Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen?

Written by William Lee

Grounds and Amenities

Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen is a luxurious all-inclusive resort located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, just a 10-minute drive from Playa del Carmen’s famous Fifth Avenue. The resort opened in April 2022 and offers 485 lavish suites with contemporary design and earthy accents, including in-room rolling bars. The resort is full of tropical gardens and well-kept areas. There are bars, shops, an ice cream parlor, a burger joint, a coffee shop, and a sports bar around a large main plaza. The resort has many pools, including three cool manmade cenotes, so you never feel crowded. Other amenities include a spa, gym, wedding facilities, and nightly shows at the theater. We asked our agent Michelle to talk about her experience at the resort.

Dining Experiences

Michelle’s favorite dining experience at Secrets Moxche was at Suki, which offers delicious food, including a taco cart and a crepe cart open daily from 6 PM to 1 AM. The resort provides nine dining options, including six à la carte restaurants, a buffet, grill, and café, catering to various tastes with cuisines such as Italian, French, Pan-Asian, and more. Notably, all restaurants have a vegan menu, and there is a dedicated vegan restaurant called Bamboo. The Preferred Club guests enjoy exclusive access to a rooftop restaurant and bar with excellent food and numerous attendants.

Accommodation Details

While at the resort, Michelle stayed in a Preferred Club Partial Ocean View room. The balcony, angled for a good view of the ocean, featured a bathtub. The room’s amenities, such as light switches, safe, and fans, were user-friendly. The bathroom was spacious with two sinks and could be left open to the room or closed for privacy. Michelle found the Preferred Club well worth it, offering exclusive amenities, including a rooftop pool, restaurant, and bar.

Resort Features

The Dark Horse sports bar, which seemed brand new with fresh paint, big leather couches, a pool table, and lots of televisions, was a highlight for Michelle. He enjoyed watching the Cavs in the playoffs there and found it a nice spot for a pre-dinner drink to escape the heat. The resort had numerous pools and water areas, with plenty of seating that never felt crowded. Guests could often find a pool to themselves most days.

Michelle’s Key Takeaways

Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen is a great place for a relaxing getaway with modern amenities, excellent dining, and a peaceful atmosphere. The Preferred Club makes the experience even better with exclusive access to top-notch facilities. Although the beach is rocky, the resort’s many pools and unique cenotes ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for everyone.
