New York City, United States

New York City.

USA · The East Coast

No city on earth packs more into a single skyline. New York is the place where the movies you grew up with, the music you love and the food you crave all seem to live at once, stacked tier on tier across the island of Manhattan and spilling out into Brooklyn, Queens and beyond.

Your days here are built from icons. You will stand in the neon canyon of Times Square, walk the leafy paths of Central Park, ride the ferry past the Statue of Liberty and cross the great cabled span of the Brooklyn Bridge as the lights come on. In between, the city rewards wandering: a deli counter, a jazz basement, a rooftop bar, a museum that could swallow a whole afternoon.

We like to give first-time visitors the headline sights with room to breathe, and returning travelers the neighborhoods that locals love. Three nights is the minimum to do it justice, and the subway will carry you almost everywhere you want to go.
